sore-knee

If you’re suffering from a knee injury, joint pain or, you just have bad knees, then these low impact cardio workouts are for you!

Don’t let your injuries or bad joints get you down because I did and it got me no where fast…

Anna KHi there, my name is Amanda and I suffer from a bad knee that would give me hell every time I done cardio.

Jogging, jumping, lunges, squats and skipping were all to painful.

I’ll discuss which cardio exercises worked best for me and which you should stop doing right now below..

The Accident That Changed My Life..

When I was 22 (I’m 36 now), I was involved in a crash that left me with a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and ever since I’ve had nothing but trouble – even after multiple surgeries.

After the crash I, I put a lot of weight on and I’d gone through a stage of depression because I just felt useless.

I’d always try to keep in shape, but with a sore knee I just couldn’t do the things I used too.

About 8 months ago, I came across an exercise program for people with aching joints and for those who suffered from an injury.

This “program” soon changed my life! (my results below)

And, if it worked for me, it can definitely work for you so keep reading..

Short Workouts = Less Stress & Better Results!

The program is called Toned In Ten by Erin Neilsen, and it’s a low impact workout program that has done wonders for me.

cardio for bad knees and joints

Most workout programs encourage long stints of cardio to get your heart rate up to burn fat.

But with Toned in Ten, the workouts are just 10 minutes per day, which means less stress on those bad knees and joints.

At first, I thought, 10 minutes is not enough!

But after doing some research everything just made sense.

Do you really have to do 40 minutes to an hour of cardio everyday?

The answer is simply no, and it can actually be bad for you, ESPECIALLY if you have bad joints and knees.

What’s included in Toned In Ten:

Toned in TenBefore I tell you what’s included in the program, I have to tell you it does cost money – BUT, it’s not like those crazy over priced workout DVD packages that cost over a hundred dollars!

Toned in Ten only cost $10 which I think we can all agree is very affordable.

The thing is, I personally would pay a lot more considering the relief it has given me.

I put up with a lot for years since my accident, but in the past 8 months that I’ve been following Toned in Ten my life has changed for the better.

I can actually do stuff now that I never could before following the program.

You could search for free cardio workouts online but nothing compares to this and it’s all organised with simple to follow along with videos.

Here is what’s included:

  • Toned in Ten manual
  • Toned in Ten follow along video series
  • Toned in Ten Nutrition Guide (FREE)
  • Erin Neilsen’s Youthful Secrets PDF
  • Done-for-you grocery list

You get all this for just $10 and in my opinion is far better value than other programs I’ve paid $30+ for in the past.

Because you’re not doing long stints of cardio or rigorous workout routines that are high impact, you actually build strength without the pain.

You’ll also learn how to stretch properly before doing any kind of cardio or exercise and learn how to perform each exercise in perfect form.

I was doing soooo many things wrong….

No Cardio, But Still Improving Cardiovascular Fitness?

You don’t have to do long boring amounts of cardio to improve cardiovascular fitness!

Actually, long boring amounts of cardio can even put a block on your fat loss efforts slowing down the fat burning hormones.

Also, did you know that chronic cardio can actually age you faster?

If you didn’t, you’re not alone because I didn’t know that either until I started following Erin Neilsen’s program.

Here is what I’ve noticed lately, ever since following Erin’s program – The more I learn about cardio the more I find it’s not as good as they say it is.

I mean of course some cardio is good for you but what they have been saying in the past has mostly been proven wrong!

Stop Doing These Cardio Exercises With Your Injured Knee!

If you’re already doing cardio, you need to stop doing these exercises before you end up doing more harm than good…

After following Erin’s program, I’ve learned a lot and began researching this stuff more and more.

I found, just about every bit of cardio I’d previously been doing was actually bad for my knee….really bad!

Types of exercises and cardio to avoid if you have a dodgy knee:

  • Full-arc knee extensions
  • Lunges
  • Deep weighted squats
  • Hurdler’s stretches
  • Running, jogging – esprecially on an incline.
  • Tuck jumps
  • Leg press with heavy weights

My Result Following Erin’s Workouts

After my accident I gained a lot of weight and wasn’t in a happy place. But after following Toned in Ten I started getting results within the first week.

After 9 weeks following the workouts and nutrition guide I lost 29lbs!!!

Now, 8 months later, I’m still managing my weight and best of all my knee doesn’t give me no where near as much trouble or pain as it previously did.

9 week progress

Conclusion

If you have a sore knee, aching joints, a knee injury or any kind of injury for that matter then high impact cardio is only going to do more harm than good.

With a program like Toned in Ten you learn how to workout properly, pain-free!

You also learn how to strengthen your knee  avoiding further damage.

For $10, you can’t really go wrong!
