About 9 weeks ago, I stumbled upon a workout guide that soon changed my life and I’m sharing my story today as I really think it will help others.
I’m a very busy single mom with 2 girls under 5, I love them to the moon and back and am so blessed that I have them with me everyday.
The only problem is, after giving birth to my first child I packed on a LOT of weight. With all the cravings and lack of exercise, I put on 30 lbs 🙁
I tried workout plans to lose weight in the past but nothing really worked. I’d lose some weight only to put it all back on with a little extra.
Because of my busy lifestyle, I found myself eating take out more than I should and things started getting out of hand.
Around 9 weeks ago, I had a bit of a break down.
Dealing with a massive break up with my ex-husband, plus finding out that he’d been screwing my close friend behind my back for the past 6 months put me in a state of depression.
I bottled everything up and eventually it all got to me and I had a break down that left me in bed for 2 days straight.

I’m really lucky to have a close relationship with my sister, she has been there through think and thin and saying “I really owe it to her” is an understatement.
Samantha (my sis) knew I was going through a rough time and popped around for a cuppa. She seen how down and depressed I was so she came to stay for a few days.
These few days were the beginning of a new chapter in my life.
Samantha suggested working out together to take my mind of everything and to get back into shape.
We’d both put on a fair amount of weight after having kids and she really wanted to get her bikini body back.
So, we both sat down and searched for the best workout plans for women so we could lose weight.
Enter The 12 Week Bikini Body Workout Challenge
After what seemed to be an endless list of workout plans, we both decided to follow one that fit both our requirements.
The title of the program was also very fitting – Bikini Body Workouts by Jen Ferruggia.
This workout program would soon change my life for the better.
The Bikini Body Workouts is a complete workout program that is also accompanied by a nutrition guide which is included free with the program.
Unlike most of the workout plans we came across, these where designed specifically for women and the price was also cheaper than the norm.
Most workout plans for women that we found sold for over $50 (one was $69 per month) but the Bikini Body Workouts was a one time fee of just $29.95
I paid for the course and my sister and I decided to get started that very day.
So Glad We Took Action That Day..Here’s Why:
Once I downloaded the program I printed out the pdf workout guide and nutrition plan so we could both follow along.
I logged into the members area on my iPad and we began to watch the videos and follow along.
After 40 minutes of following the first workout we both hit the deck in exhaustion.
This might sound strange but it was the best feeling I’d felt in a loooong time!
We both laughed at how much sweat was pouring from our bodies. I could literally feel the sweat rolling down my back lol.
It was then that I knew these workouts were doing the job.

You guessed it, the next day we were both in pain, but it was a good pain. That day we both said to each other “No pain, no gain” and laughed it off. I was freakin sore though 🙂
Here is something I found to be true. I’d read some time ago that the pain and working out becomes an addiction. Well, I can honestly say – 9 weeks later I am an addict lol.

After following the bikini body workouts for 9 weeks I have lost 29 lbs and feel absolutely amazing.
I’m full of energy and can play with my kids without feeling stressed or tired, I feel happy, confident and for once, I feel sexy!
I can now look into the mirror without hating my body and now, when I look at myself I smile 🙂
My sister Samantha also lost a lot of weight. She is down 23 lbs which is amazing because she has never been to a gym in her life!

The whole reason for this article was to share what’s working for me. I know there’s a tonne of workout plans for women online and it can be overwhelming.
But if you want something that is proven to work, well it did for me and my sister, so it definitely can work for you. You just have to give it a go 🙂
